Preparing for your appointment
 
You will need a referral from your doctor to see our neurosurgeons. This referral will also allow you to claim a Medicare rebate for part of the cost of your consultation. GP referrals are valid for 12 months and specialist referrals are valid for 3 months after the first use.
Please send your referral and test results to the clinic so that your doctor can triage them prior to your appointment.
You will receive an SMS reminder to confirm three days before your appointment. We do have many patients in pain waiting for appointments so we would appreciate at least 24 hours notice of cancellation so that we may offer the appointment time to another patient.
In order for the doctor to access your CT / MRI scans online our staff will need to know in advance where these were done.  
If your appointment is covered under Workcover or a Third Party insurance claim written approval needs to have been received by the practice prior to your appointment.

There is free parking at the rear of the building at 2 Foxborough Ave, the rooms of Dr Andrew Redgment.

Canberra appointments
We would like to apologise in advance about the difficulty parking as the recent Canberra Hospital expansion took away our most convenient patient parking. Please allow 30 minutes to find a park and walk to our office.
Parking is available in the large multi-storey carpark adjacent to The Canberra Hospital. Often there are parks available on the "exit" side of the parking station. There is also limited timed parking on the Garran oval and in the surrounding streets in Garran.
The Canberra Hospital and the National Capital Private Hospital both provide a Courtesy Bus that operates on a continuous loop around the hospital campus. Hospital reception staff are able to call the bus for you.
There is a drop off zone at the main entrance to the hospital (on Hospital Road) and we encourage patients with limited mobility to arrange for someone to drop them off there before finding a park.
Once inside the Private Hospital take the lift to Level 5 and turn left, we are located along the corridor in Suite 15.
